Wilcox Environmental Engineering, Inc. is announcing the construction of its new headquarters located in the dynamically growing Town of Speedway. The office will be located at 16th and Main Street, across from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The new development will include the renovation of the iconic Rosner building and is set to break ground in early May, with an anticipated completion date in November 2016. Wilcox will be the largest tenant in the 16,000 square foot building, with 3,500 square feet on the first floor available for lease. Indianapolis based developer, Paradigm Real Estate Investments estimates the cost of the project at US$2.5 million.
The new location will fulfill staffing needs for Wilcox’s continuing growth. Chris Bonniwell, President of Wilcox, “Our success is driven by the talented people on our staff, and we are excited to be able to provide them a new facility commensurate with their talent that is located an equally dynamic area. With our ongoing need for additional staff, we anticipate this new facility and location will be an attractive incentive for candidates to join the Wilcox team. ”
Wilcox has nearly doubled its company roster over the past several years, going from approximately 30 employees to over 50 staff in three states. Wilcox actively services client investigation and remediation needs in Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois; and the combined capabilities of the company’s three divisions (Investigation and Remediation, Air Analysis, and Industrial Compliance) currently service clients in over 15 states.
“We’re thrilled that Wilcox has chosen to locate their headquarters on Main Street. From the earliest days of our redevelopment efforts, Wilcox has been a strong partner in the community,” said David Lindsey, Speedway’s Town Council President. “This project shows their belief that Main Street is not only a vibrant destination, but also a great place to grow a business.”
Ian Nicolini, Town Manager of Speedway said, “The Rosner building has an impressive history and was an anchor on Main Street for generations. So, when a company as highly regarded as Wilcox Environmental Engineering chooses to be a partner in redevelopment, bringing highly-skilled professionals with them, we knew right away that this would be a project that would be an economic anchor for generations to come.”
The official groundbreaking ceremony will be held on May 17th at 2:00 pm, at which Wilcox CEO, Steve Wilcox and President, Chris Bonniwell will be joined by Paradigm President, Brent Benge, and officials with the Town of Speedway.
